The instructions are next to useless, frustrating because I used to work editing and writing assembly and maintenance manuals, but I was able to figure it out by analyzing the different parts and positions.The shifter came perfectly calibrated, although there are good YouTube videos for those who need them. I learned this a couple of months ago to help a friend.The brakes were also perfectly adjusted, so once I had it together and air in the tires, I took it out for an enjoyable ride. I've done about 9 miles in the two days, I've had it, and it shifts well, brakes well, and the suspension is good for my sand and pavement trails. I have not tried folding it to take it anywhere yet.It is a shame the overall ratings get lowered by someone who couldn't tighten the pedals or understand this type of gearing. I'm quite satisfied.
