These are great handlebars for my purpose. I installed this BMX bar on my mountain bike for a more upright riding position. As is always the case to install BMX bars on a mountain bike you will need the 22.2mm to 25.4mm adapter shims available on Amazon. Handlebars themselves have long enough handle portions to accept the brake-lever, Shimano twist shifter and still be able to put the hand grips on. (Just Barely) Not all BMX bars are long enough. The other big bonus of high-rise BMX bars is this straight crossbar which is great for mounting lights and accessories. The finish on these bars is not shiny but slightly textured. This may not be your cup of tea aesthetically but it makes anything you clamp to the bars stick like glue. I have no idea how long the Finish will last but it seems nicely applied, the welds are neat and the bar stock is heavy gauge aluminum so I'm completely satisfied with this install.
